Hand-Tufted Rugs

Hand-tufted rugs are typically the thickest type of rug. Instead of creating knots, loops of yarn are instead pulled through the rug's backing material with a hand-held tool. The loops are then sheared to create a smooth cut-pile surface. Hand-tufted rugs can shed excess fibres to begin with, and they do require regular cleaning with an upright vacuum cleaner to keep them looking their best.

The pile height is approximately 6-7mm.
