Frequently Asked Questions

How do I choose the right size dining table for my home?

Start by measuring your room and thinking about how you use the space day to day. Your table should feel generous enough for everyday meals, but not so large that it dominates the room or makes it difficult to move around.

As a guide, allow at least 80–100 cm of clearance around the table so chairs can be pulled out comfortably and people can walk past. A compact table is ideal for smaller kitchens and open‑plan spaces, while larger designs are perfect for family dining and entertaining

How many people can your dining tables comfortably seat?

Each table in our collection is designed with a particular gathering in mind. For example, a 2 m x 1 m table will comfortably seat six to eight people, making it ideal for family dinners and weekend entertaining.

Our extendable designs start at around 180 cm and can extend to 225–240 cm, allowing up to eight guests to dine in comfort when fully opened. Smaller tables are perfect for two to four settings, while our larger formats create roomier place settings and more relaxed elbow room for guests.

Do you offer extendable dining tables for entertaining?

Yes, several of our designs are extendable, giving you the flexibility to switch between everyday use and larger gatherings. Our Umi Solid Oak Extendable Dining Table, for example, measures 180 cm and extends to 225 cm when required, seating up to eight people once extended. The Byron Extending Dining Table extends from 180 cm to a generous 240 cm, ideal for bigger dinner parties.

Extension leaves are neatly integrated into the design for a seamless look, so your table feels just as considered in its compact and extended forms.

What shapes of dining tables do you offer, and how do I choose?

Our collection includes round, oval and rectangular dining tables, each suited to different spaces and styles of entertaining.

  • Round and oval tables are perfect for more intimate, conversational settings and work beautifully in square or smaller rooms.
  • Rectangular tables suit longer, more open spaces and are ideal if you regularly seat six or more people.

Think about the proportions of your room and the number of people you usually host, then choose a table shape that feels balanced and welcoming.

What materials are your dining tables made from?

Our dining tables are handmade from carefully selected materials that are designed to last and age beautifully.

You’ll find:

  • Solid mango wood and oak for warmth, character and natural grain.
  • Stone‑effect and marble‑inspired tops on selected pieces for a contemporary, statement look.
  • Brass‑plated or metal legs on some designs for a refined, modern contrast.

Each table is handcrafted from natural materials, so slight variations in tone and pattern are part of its unique charm.

How do I care for and clean a solid wood or marble dining table?

For solid wood tables, dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth and wipe up spills straight away with a slightly damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and placing very hot items directly on the surface; instead, use coasters and placemats to protect the finish.

Stone‑effect and marble‑finish tables can be cleaned with a mild, pH‑neutral soap and warm water, then dried with a lint‑free cloth to prevent watermarks. As with wood, avoid abrasive or acidic cleaners and always lift items rather than dragging them across the surface to keep your table looking beautiful for years to come.
